Cabins can be reserved online at www.reserveiaparks.com or by calling the call center at
1-877-427-2757 during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (CST) Monday through Friday and closed on state holidays.
Reservations can be made as far as 12 months in advance.
Half of Iowa state park campsites can be reserved in advance adding convenience and flexibility
when planning your stay. To make a reservation go to
www.reserveiaparks.com or call the call center at
1-877-427-2757 during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (CST) Monday through Friday and closed on state holidays.
Park staff generally try to have the water on and shower buildings open by mid April. All this of course, depends on
the weather. The campgrounds are always open, but water may not be available until mid April or later. If you are
interested in camping at a specific park and wish to know if the shower buildings are open and the water is on,
please contact the park directly. Phone numbers for the parks are listed in the
park directory.
During the peak season (May 1 to September 30)
A modern electrical campsite is $16.00 per night.
A modern, non-electric site is $11.00 per night.
A non-modern, electric site is $14.00 per night.
A non-modern, non-electric site is $9.00 per night.
Water and sewer hookups are and additional $3.00 per night.
Equestrian campsites are an additional $3.00 per night
Cable television hookups are an additional $2.00 per night.

Modern area means a camping area which has showers and flush toilets.
Non-Modern area means a camping area in which no showers are provided, containing only pit-type latrines or flush
toilets. Water may or may not be available to campers.
No, Iowa State Parks do not charge entrance fees. Come on in and visit.

provides what type of sites are available, whether the park is located by a lake and if playgrounds are available.
Cabins are available to rent at several state parks. They range from family cabins that will sleep 6 - 8 people to
camping cabins that sleep 4 and provide only the basic amenities. A list of cabins and the rental fees
can be found here.

Yes, you may bring your dog to the park as long as it is on a leash no more than 6 feet in length. Pets must be on a
leash at all times (unless they are being actively used in hunting or in a training exercise in a designated dog trail
area) tied to a vehicle or tie out devise or confined to a vehicle. Leashes can not be more than 6 feet long.
