Fur Dealers
Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation engaged in the business of buying, bartering, trading or otherwise obtaining raw hides or skins of fur-bearing animals.

Game Breeders
A person who possesses, raises, and sells game birds, game animals and fur-bearing animals whose original stock is obtained from a lawful source. This does not include any species that are defined as endangered or threatened under state law. It does not include exotic birds or animals.

Taxidermists
A license for the practice of taxidermy of game, fish, or fur-bearing animals that have been lawfully taken.

Hunting and Fishing License Applications for Veterans, Disabled Iowans, and Senior Citizens

Information on how to apply for hunting and fishing licenses for Iowa's veterans, disabled citizens, and seniors over age 65. For further information, please contact the DNR Customer Service Center at (515) 281-5918.


RESIDENTS ONLY APPLICATIONS

Free Annual Hunting and Fishing License Application (Form #542-8056)
Residents of Iowa who are either a) permanently disabled AND the annual household income is below the federal poverty guidelines or b) age 65 or older AND the annual household income is below the federal poverty guidelines. Please see the application for the current federal poverty guidelines.

Application for Eligibility for a Resident Severely Disabled Deer Hunting License (Form #542-0417)
Iowa residents who are certified by a physician as being  severely disabled may obtain a paid deer hunting license to hunt during the Youth and Disabled Hunter Season.

Veteran Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License Application (Form #542-1412)
A lifetime hunting and fishing license for veterans who have a service connected disability or were POW's.


Application for Eligibility for a Resident Non-Ambulatory Deer Hunting License (Form #542-0422)
Iowa residents who are certified by a physician as being non-ambulatory may apply for eligibility to acquire a paid non-ambulatory deer hunting license. Please note: Applicant must have applied for and obtained the permit to use a motor vehicle on game management areas, parks and preserves before applying for this tag.


RESIDENT OR NONRESIDENT APPLICATIONS

Crossbow for Deer and Turkey Hunting License Application (Form #542-1369)
A permit which allows the use of a crossbow while bow hunting for deer and/or turkey for persons who are certified by a physician as having a disability in the upper extremities.

Motor Vehicle Use in Game Management Area, Park, Preserve - Permit Application (Form #542-8057)
A permit which allows for the use of a motor vehicle on game management areas, state parks or preserve for persons who are certified by a physician as having a disability which makes it impossible to ambulate without the use of a motor vehicle.

Special Nonresident Disabled Military Deer License Application (Form #542-0214)
A permit which allows qualified non-resident disabled military to purchase a non-resident deer tag at resident price and participate in a hunt that is conducted by an organization that conducts hunting experiences in this state for disabled persons.

Special Nonresident Disabled Military Turkey License Application (Form #542-0215)
A permit which allows qualified non-resident disabled military to purchase a non-resident turkey tag at resident price and participate in a hunt that is conducted by an organization that conducts hunting experiences in this state for disabled persons.

Special Nonresident Disabled Military Small Game Hunting License Application (Form #542-0216)
A permit which allows qualified non-resident disabled military to purchase a non-resident small game license at resident price and participate in a hunt that is conducted by an organization that conducts hunting experiences in this state for disabled persons.
