Spring will be well on its way and ready to welcome you to this women's getaway at Honey Creek Resort State Park. Explore the southern Iowa outdoors along Lake Rathbun and its surrounding woodlands. Turkeys will be calling, birds will be migrating and fi sh will be biting, making for the perfect Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) weekend.
BOW is a workshop aimed primarily at women, but is an opportunity for anyone 18 years or older to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, but useful in many outdoor pursuits. So, grab a friend and plan to join us. Send in your registration soon. Classes fill fast. Classes include firearms, fishing, turkey hunting, GPS/Geocaching, shooting, motor boat skills, archery, kayaking, camping, canoeing, fly fishing, dutch oven cooking and birdwatching.
