The following is a list of Forest Stewardship Plans developed for selected Wildlife Management Areas. These plans were developed to help guide forest management on these areas. Additional plans will be added for wildlife management areas that have a substantial forest component that is or will be actively managed using silvicultural techniques. Note: Iowa's forests are dynamic systems that experience changes over time, some changes such as those caused by storms happen overnight, while others may take decades or centuries. Consequently, stewardship plans, though prescriptively written to achieve long range objectives, must be adaptive to catastrophic changes should they occur.
