Iowa's Nonpoint Source Management Plan - developed over 18 months in a major collaborative effort between local, state and federal government organizations, universities and a diverse set of stakeholder groups – looks at the current state of water quality in Iowa and outlines ideas for improvement.
New: Iowa's Nonpoint Source Management Plan is updated every five years as recommended by the EPA and committed to by DNR in the 2012 plan. The most recent plan updates were approved by EPA in 2018 and are available below. The Appendices document from 2012 is still active and pending updates and review by EPA, but will be available upon completion. Final visual formatting of the 2018 Plan is pending.
