HULL—Thursday morning, DNR staff investigated a fish kill reported late on Sept. 18 at a golf course north of Hull in Sioux County.

Preliminary information indicates the fish kill occurred on Tuesday or earlier in an unnamed tributary of Burr Oak Creek.

DNR staff have ruled out multiple pollutant sources, but did not find a cause of the fish kill.

DNR asks anyone seeing a fish kill or an obvious pollutant to notify the local field office or call the 24-hour spill line at 515-725-8694 immediately. The earlier DNR is notified, the easier it is to trace the pollutant source.
