LOVILIA – A boil advisory for the city of Lovilia in Monroe County has been lifted.
The boil advisory was issued on Tuesday when the entire city’s water supply had to be shut down for a few hours. The water main project was the result of a leaking underground storage tank site that is replacing plastic line with ductile iron.
Loss in water pressure can create the potential for bacteria to get into the system. The boil advisory was lifted after two sets of bacteria samples were completed and determined the water is safe.
