It may be time to reconsider biosecurity measures after the recent spread of African Swine Fever in China. Iowa State University is offering workshops for producers, their employees, veterinarians and others who may enter pork production facilities. The two-hour workshop covers case studies, risk management and help for producers in determining their highest priorities.
ISU offers “Biosecurity Best Practices for Pork Producers” at nine locations starting Nov. 29 and ending Dec. 18. For more information on African Swine Fever, check the Iowa Pork Industry Center’s website.
