Becoming an Outdoors Woman - BOW Iowa

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is an international program aimed primarily at women, but is an opportunity for anyone 18 years or older to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, but useful for many outdoor pursuits. Check out the BOW Brochure for more information!


The workshop is for you if...

  • you have never tried these activities, but have hoped for an opportunity to learn.
  • you are a beginner who hopes to improve your skills.
  • you know how to do some of these activities, but would like to try your hand at some new ones.
  • you are looking for the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.

[June 2019] Beyond BOW - Backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail

Pingora Outdoors Presents: Section Backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail

In northeastern Minnesota, the Superior Hiking Trail traverses 296 miles of rugged landscape and beautiful vistas of Lake Superior. The most popular and arguably more scenic sections of the Superior Hiking Trail start north of Duluth. Join Pingora Outdoors as we backpack a section of the Superior Hiking Trail. We will make our way from Split Rock Lighthouse State Park to Tettegouche State Park.

Unplug from technology, make new friends, and get ready for new experiences and scenic views! We will take time to snap photos, play in the water and learn how to camp and cook as a group. Backpacking with Pingora Outdoors by your side will be an unforgettable adventure for all!

Enjoy stunning fall colors in the most remote and scenic regions of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. Explore some of the area’s breathtaking mountains and intimate valley floors, experiencing gorgeous views and lush deciduous forest along the way.

As always, your Pingora Outdoors guides will be with you every step of the way. We will provide instruction on any and all backcountry skills you’d like to learn including cooking, backcountry camping, and navigation.
