With the goals of simplifying the application forms and reducing duplicate data entry, representatives from manufacturing, grain processing, and utilities worked together with the DNR to simplify the application process.

Excel versions of two different forms are now available and one form was eliminated altogether (Part 3 is combined with Form 1.0). For eight application forms, the DNR will accept previous versions of the forms and even photocopies of previous application forms in cases when there have been no changes to the equipment. The updated application forms, revised instructions, and a document describing when older versions of the forms may be used are all on our website at www.iowadnr.gov/airoperatingpermits, just click on Title V Forms & Instructions.

For more information on the process improvement events including the Value Stream Mapping event (October 2016) and the work groups on pre-application meetings and on forms and instructions (January 2017), check out our Stakeholder Involvement website at www.iowadnr.gov/airstakeholder listed under Workgroups.
