The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold five public hearings for proposed Iowa Administrative Code changes in September.

Wildlife Administrative Rule Changes Chapter 95 - Game Harvest Reporting and Landowner-Tenant Registration This chapter has been reviewed consistent with Executive Order 10 (EO10) to modernize processes and improve clarity to customers on methods to report harvests.

The public is invited to attend a hearing from noon-1 p.m. on Sept. 23 at 6200 Park Avenue, Des Moines in the Wildcat Den conference room.

Persons who wish to make oral comments at the virtual public hearing must submit a request to Denise Roberg before the hearing to facilitate an orderly hearing. Any interested person may submit written comments concerning these rules, which must be received by the Department no later than 4:30 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Chapter 78 - Ginseng Harvesting and Sale This chapter has been reviewed consistent with Executive Order 10 (EO10) to eliminate redundancies, improve efficiency, and provide clarification and consistency with federal rules as managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Fisheries Administrative Rule Changes The Iowa DNR  has reviewed the following rule chapters relating to programs administered by the Fisheries Bureau: 571 Iowa Administrative Code (IAC) Chapters 79 (Fish Stocking Procedures and Fees for Private Waters), 81 (Fishing Regulations), 82 (Commercial Fishing), 83 (Scuba and Skin Spearing of Rough Fish), 84 (Promiscuous Fishing), 86 (Turtles), 87 (Mussel Regulations), 89 (Aquaculture), 90 (Aquatic Invasive Species), and 113 (Restitution for Pollution Causing Injury to Wild Animals). These chapters have been reviewed consistent with Executive Order 10 (EO10) to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency and clarity.
