DES MOINES - Before you start land applying, ensure your manure applicator certification is current. Annual training is required to keep your license valid and ensure proper nutrient management. Check your expiration date now and register for your annual training session before field operations get underway.
There are three options to become certified:
- DNR offers online training and fee payment. If you haven’t used the system before, follow the prompts to create an Iowa ID.
- Attend a training session at an Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office. Please contact your local Extension office to schedule a session.
- Or, make an appointment at a DNR field office to take a test.
