VENTURA – McIntosh Woods State Park is re-opening after a July 29 derecho storm caused significant tree damage at the park. The campground, boat ramp and fish cleaning station will all be open for public use starting today.
According to park staff, while the roads are clear and passable, large piles of tree debris will be addressed in a second phase of clean-up. Additionally, visitors are asked to avoid areas of bare soil where trees were uprooted as grass is being re-established.
