The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a public meeting regarding upcoming timber harvests at the Volga River State Recreation Area on March 20.
More than 3,100 ac of Iowa land in 24 counties with an estimated value of more than $7.6 million was permanently protected through donations for conservation.
The Iowa DNR State Forest Nursery offers spring delivery in April and May for hardwood, conifer and shrub seedlings. Seedlings can be ordered through May 23.
