About the Park

Okamanpedan is located on Tuttle Lake in Emmet County, about 35 miles from the Okoboji and Iowa Great Lakes area. The small state park features a shady lakeside picnic area, along with an open shelter available on a first-come, first-served basis for picnics and cookouts.

The park provides excellent shoreline fishing access to Tuttle Lake, as well as river fishing on the East Fork of the Des Moines River.

Anglers will enjoy a variety of game fish, including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, white bass, and panfish.
