The fishing at Nodaway Lake is expected to be fair in 2017. Bluegills average 7- to 8-inches long and crappies (both black and whites) are 9- to 12-inches. Largemouth bass are moderate in numbers with some quality fish in the population. Good numbers of pan-size (14- to 15-inch) channel catfish are present in Nodaway. Walleyes stocked by the Adair County Conservation Board provide a bonus fish for anglers. The overall fishery in Nodaway Lake is in good condition. Nodaway Lake is a good destination for spring and fall crappie fishing.(2017)
