Plainfield Lake is a consistent producer of bluegill, largemouth bass and black crappie. Fishing can be difficult at times with very clear water conditions, but fish surveys find bluegill up to 8-inches and largemouth bass over 18-inches long. Lake water levels can fluctuate many feet during a year in response to drought or wet weather conditions.(2020)
