North Prairie Lake is stocked twice each spring and fall with about 1,800 rainbow trout for cold-weather community fishery opportunities. North Prairie also maintains populations of bluegill, channel catfish and largemouth bass. Shore fishing can be difficult in some areas due to abundant emergent vegetation.(2020)
