LAKE PARK, Iowa - Work is underway on a shoreline stabilization project on the northwest section of Silver Lake, in Dickinson County, that is part of a water quality improvement project for the 1,032-acre natural lake. Due to the nature of the project, the contractor has temporarily closed the northwest access road.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has turned on the winter aeration systems at Center Lake and Silver Lake in Dickinson County, and Ingham Lake in Emmet County.

LAKE PARK – The City of Lake Park, Wenck Engineering, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a public meeting at 6 p.m., Nov. 14, at the Lake Park Community Center (903 S Market Street) to discuss plans for improving water quality and recreational opportunities at Silver Lake in Dickinson County.
