The effort to provide a convenient, efficient application system to submit and track air quality permit applications is well underway. Formerly called e-Application, its new name, Iowa Environmental Application System or EASY Air, reflects DNR’s belief the system will fulfill stakeholders’ 2016 vision:

  • Reducing redundant data entry,
  • Increasing data accuracy,
  • Saving time, and
  • Cutting costs

This online system aims to make application preparation easier. It’s also expected to improve customer service and speed DNR’s ability to issue permits.

The vendor, enfoTech & Consulting, continues to meet with DNR technical staff to iron out work plan details. As work proceeds, look for Iowa EASY Air to be online one year from now. Stay tuned for information on progress and how to become involved
