WINDSOR HEIGHTS –Contracts for water and land quality monitoring, watershed protection, air quality protection and manure applicator training dominate the June 20 agenda for the Environmental Protection Commission.

At the top of the meeting, commissioners will elect officers and take the oath of office. Along with contracts up for consideration, commissioners have the opportunity to update procedures used to determine wasteload allocations for wastewater permits and water quality criteria for E. coli.

The meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the DNR’s Air Quality office, 7900 Hickman Road in Windsor Heights. Commissioners will hear public comments after the monthly reports. Please submit requests to speak to Jerah Sheets by mail or email, Jerah.Sheets@dnr.iowa.gov, before the meeting.
