Mississippi River Pools 16-19: River stages are on the rise due to recent heavy rains. Some boat ramps will be underwater. Water clarity is poor. Main channel water temperature is around 72 degrees. Fishing has been slow with the high and muddy water conditions. If you have questions on fishing Pools 16-19 contact the Fairport Fish Hatchery at 563-263-5062.
River stage at Lock and Dam 15 in Davenport is 13.07 feet and rising. Tailwater stage has risen over a foot since last weekend. Tailwater stage is forecasted to reach 13.5 feet by Saturday. Floodstage at Lock and Dam 15 is 15 feet. River stage at Fairport is 13.42 feet and floodstage is 14 feet.
White Bass - Fair: Look for white bass in Sylvan Slough up by the dams. Try casting jigs and twister tails.
Channel Catfish - Fair: Try fishing for channel catfish with stinkbait. Try fishing around snags.
Bluegill - No Report: Look for bluegills in the backwaters like Sunset Marina or the Andalusia Island complex. Try fishing with pieces of worm under a bobber.
