8 years after the new dam was complete at Pilot Grove, the fishery continues to decline. Fish surveys from 2014 show large numbers of stunted white crappie and black bullhead likely coming from a pond in the watershed. There were moderate numbers of largemouth bass with few reaching the 15-inch minimum length limit. Bluegill showed low numbers with few fish over 6-inches. Channel catfish are stocked on odd numbered years to maintain a fishable population. (2019)
