Des Moines, Iowa – The Natural Resource Commission (NRC) of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will meet via teleconference at 8:30 a.m., Dec. 12, originating from the third-floor conference room, in the Wallace State Office Building, 502 East Ninth Street, in Des Moines.

MASON CITY – The trout stocking at Blue Pit has been moved to Nov. 26 at 11:00 a.m. Previously scheduled for Nov. 27, the stocking was moved up a day due to the winter storm forecast for the area on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

DES MOINES -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is seeking public comment on the newly released draft impaired waters list. Data released by the Iowa DNR today shows 27 impairments are recommended to be removed from the 2018 impaired list, once approved by the EPA.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Fish Iowa! angler education program has partnered with the Recreational Fishing and Boating Foundation’s (RBFF) Vamos A Pescar™ program to provide funding to local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations to support local efforts to educate and engage families in high-density Hispanic communities through programs, classes and fishing activities. Minimum grant request is $5,000 with a 1:1 cash match required.
