ANKENY - As of noon Thursday, dead fish began surfacing in roughly one-half mile of a tributary to Fourmile Creek in Ankeny following a release of milk on Tuesday night.

ANKENY—At 7 a.m. this morning, DNR began receiving reports that a tributary to Fourmile Creek in Ankeny had turned white and that fish were struggling near the surface.

Gage O’Connor from the Ankeny Hawks Shooting Sports Team hit 200 straight clay targets at the State Trap Shoot the first week of June, besting all other shooters. But in the end his effort was not enough to hold off the varsity squad from North Scott who had the high squad score, hitting 985 out of 1,000 targets by their five person team.

ANKENY—A storage tank overflowed at the Air Gas plant on SE Creekview Drive in Ankeny over the weekend, sending about 1,000 gallons of lime slurry into a tributary of Four Mile Creek.
