Project AWARE
What's Project AWARE? Think RAGBRAI, but with a splash of ecotourism, a focus on river cleanup, and a whole lot of fun!

Iowa Streamkeepers
Interested in adopting a stretch of river in your area? Iowa Streamkeepers wants to help your stewardship efforts.

CLEAR Grants (off-site)
These valuable mini-grants, worth up to $1,000 apiece, are part of the department's CLEAR (Community Leaders Enhancing Area Rivers) program. Winning applicants will use the money to fund cleanup events on local lakes, rivers or streams. Funded through the DNR's REAP (Resource Enhancement and Protection) program, CLEAR grants are administered by the DNR's IOWATER citizen water quality monitoring program.
