Find a DNR Watershed Improvement Project

Across the state, Iowans are working with the DNR to improve their lakes, rivers and streams. Through DNR-funded watershed projects, Iowans are keeping pollutants from reaching our waters.

The DNR currently funds about 50 projects in the state. Click on the map or use the links below to find a list of DNR-funded watershed projects with available websites in your area.

The Section 319 program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides DNR funding for nonpoint pollution programs. The DNR generally funds local watershed projects in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
