Funding

The Nutting Creek Watershed Project can share up to 75 percent of the costs with residents looking to put conservation practices on their land. Additional funds are also available through other conservation programs and may be used in conjunction with each other when possible. Funding sources may include:

• Iowa DNR- Watershed improvement funds- section 319
• Iowa Dept. of Agriculture and Land Stewardship-Division of Soil Conservation
  • Watershed Protection Funds (WSPF)
  • Water Protection Funds (WPF)
• USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service
  • Conservation Reserve Program (CRP)
  • Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
  • Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP)
• Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP)
