Lake Wapello
Although the Lake Wapello Watershed Project is a relatively new project as to current work, producers that built ponds and installed Continuous CRP buffers in the early part of the project are reporting that they are seeing less erosion in their pastures and that the streams are clearing up much quicker after rain. This is mainly due to the fact that the buffer strips are slowing down water and trapping sediment before it reaches the stream.
