Permit Delay Reasons: Status of Permit Issuance

The file listed below contains information on the issuance or reissuance of NPDES permits in Iowa. The Delay Reasons file is an EXCEL spreadsheet that contains the facility name, facility number, permit writer, permit issuance and expiration dates, permit status, permit application dates, and the reason the permit issuance is delayed. This file can be downloaded and manipulated to provide customized lists of information.

Delay Reasons (*.xls file)
- List of NPDES Permittees in Iowa (Last updated August 13, 2010)

Definitions for Terms on Delay Reasons Spreadsheet (*.pdf file)
- These definitions are also in an additional tab on the spreadsheet.

To contact the permit writer listed for a pending permit, please refer to the Staff Directory or the Current Permit Writers tab in the spreadsheet. If the permit writer listed has no contact information, that person is no longer an NPDES permit writer. Please contact another permit writer with questions.

If you wish to view the active NPDES permit, please proceed to the Wastewater Permit Information Exchange system (WWPIE). Follow the instructions on the WWPIE home page or in the WWPIE User Manual(*.pdf) to search and view permits. General Permits Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are not included in WWPIE and facilities covered by these permits will not appear in the search. Only final and draft NPDES permits are included in WWPIE. Expired, closed, or revoked permits are not searchable.
