Mobile Education Trailer
The DNR presents an exciting way to learn about energy and waste topics - a mobile education trailer!

What is it?
The "Smart Choices. Clean Future. Better Iowa." trailer, is an all-inclusive experience that includes informative displays, interactive kiosks, educational videos and more. Smart Choices. Clean Future. Better Iowa. trailer.

Come Inside
The trailer is equipped with a welcome desk, touch screen computers with games and flat screen TVs and DVDs.

The trailer also showcases:

  • Energy Alternatives
  • Household Hazardous Wastes
  • Recycling
  • Illegal Dumping
  • Composting

We bring the trailer to you! Wolf Construction in West Des Moines transports the trailer before and after events. It is also handicapped accessible, heated and air conditioned so it can be used year round.



Use the Educational Trailer at:

  • Fairs
  • Conferences
  • Kick-offs
  • Promotional events

Science teachers, environmental educators, recycling coordinators, event managers, community leaders and solid waste professionals are also encouraged to use the trailer for their events.

To request the trailer, register online. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please register as soon as possible to reserve the trailer for your event. A deposit of $500 is required to secure your reservationand will be refunded upon return and inspection of the trailer.
