In order to participate as a volunteer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR), all individuals must sign a DNR Volunteer Release and Liability Waiver Form when volunteering. Individuals volunteering more than eight hours per month or working with vulnerable populations will be required to submit to a background check.
