New Spill Database and Web Site coming in 2009

The Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit has been working with an IT contractor to develop a web based spill database. The new application will allow the public to better track spills in their community and improve the quality of information tracked. The new web based application is scheduled to be available early August and will replace the current spill data webpage. Check back here for more information as the new application comes on line.

The Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit has created a web site to assist facilities in Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting.


Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit has Moved

The Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit of the DNR has moved from its location on SW 7th Street in Des Moines back to the Wallace State Office Building. The new address is; Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034. Staff phone numbers will remain the same.
