Welcome to the third year of the Elk Rock Osprey Restoration Project. This project is a joint effort between DNR Parks and Wildlife Bureaus and Marion County Conservation and numerous private sponsors. The tower is located at
Elk Rock State Park on Lake Red Rock.
Updated: July 10, 2007
The birds will arrive on July 11th and will be held in the tower for about two to three weeks and the gate is then opened and the birds fledge as they individually mature. Hope you enjoy the progress.
Updated: August 10, 2007
The gate was opened on Tuesday, August 7th, and 2 birds exited along with the last leaving on Wednesday, August 8th. The camera angle will be
shifting soon to view the roof as they will continue to feed for approximately 3 more weeks.
Updated: August 31, 2007
The birds still visit the tower to feed but no longer linger. The live feed will be disconnected and we look forward to July 2008!
