All State Park, Recreation Area and Forest Campgrounds incorporate a self-registration procedure. Instructions
are posted at depositories located at campground entrances. All campers must register. Registration must be in the
name of a person age 18 or older who will occupy the camping unit for the full term of the registration. Campers
must register within one-half hour of entering the campground. Registration can be for more than one day at a time;
however, campers are not allowed to stay in an area for more than 14 consecutive nights. Walk-in campers
may occupy an unrented reservable campsite beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the first day of the camping stay.
Campsites are considered occupied and registration to be complete when the requirements stated above have been met.
Half of the campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining 50% of campsites
may be reserved.
Modern area means a camping area which has showers and flush toilets.
Non-modern area means a camping area in which no showers are provided, containing only pit-type
latrines or flush toilets. Water may or may not be available to campers.
Shower buildings are closed and water is turned off in late fall depending on the weather. This generally occurs
in late October but will vary park to park.
