Missouri River Authority to discuss Flood Control Act

DES MOINES - An interagency group that makes recommendations on policies affecting the Missouri River will discuss recent developments at a June 12 meeting in Des Moines.
The Missouri River Authority will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. in the DNR's fourth floor east conference room in the Wallace Building at 502 East Ninth St. The meeting is open to the public.
The group will discuss a newly authorized study on uses of the Missouri River. Budgets and ecosystem restoration are also on the agenda.

Five Iowa agencies are represented on the Missouri River Authority. They include the Governor's office; the Secretary of Agriculture: the Chair of the Utilities Board; and the Directors of the departments of natural resources, transportation and economic development or their designees.
