Nonresidents to begin purchasing Iowa hunting, fishing licenses Jan. 1, 2010
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has changed the date when nonresidents may purchase hunting and/or fishing licenses in Iowa to begin on January 1. Previously, nonresidents could purchase a license beginning December 15 of each preceding year, the same as Iowa residents. The rule change became effective in October. Licenses will be valid from Jan. 1, 2010, or after on the date of purchase, until Jan. 10, 2011. The on-sale date change affects nonresidents only.
