Search the Water Web by Lake Name:
Without using the interactive map, you can search the Water Web databases by lake name to retrieve all lake information available. Select the
Search link in the banner menu, located directly below the Water Web banner at the top of the page, to go to the
Water Web Search Page.
With the Search tool, choose Lake Name from the dropdown next to the
Select text. Following the
For text, type in all or part of the lake name that you are wanting to search on (this is not case sensitive). If you type the full name and a match is found, data will be immediately returned. If you type in part of the name, you will have to pick from a list of possible matches before data is returned. Look at the example below (chose Lake Name as the searchable water feature and "Clear Lake" as the unique name of the lake):
In the example above, 2 results were found for "Clear Lake", so choose the Clear Lake link and notice that all available program information will be returned directly adjacent to the Search tool on the same page. Look at the image below (Clear Lake example):
