Iowa DNR Interactive Mapping, Water Web Help Files

Client PC Requirements for Using the Water Web:

  • The Water Web interactive map is best viewed with at least "800 by 600 pixels" screen resolution, but a higher resolution is strongly recommended.

  • A recent version of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox are the recommended web browsers. If you experience problems you should download the most recent version of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox and try the site again.

  • Connection speed to the Internet is also a concern. The maps and queries will take a longer time to load on a computer with a dial-up connection. A dedicated broadband Internet line is ideal for using this interactive site.

  • Finally, if you are experiencing problems using some of the mapping tools, make sure to adjust your pop-up blocker settings in your Internet browser window menu to allow the Iowa DNR Water Web website to display pop-up windows. Make sure you have your pop-up blocker turned off.

The websites are interactive mapping applications and may not be accessible for all users. If you experience difficulties viewing this information, please contact Patrick Wilke-Brown for personal assistance.
