Iowa DNR Interactive Mapping, Help Files
Set Map Units:
- In the Toolbar place your mouse over the set units icon
 and a small pop-up message will tell you the function of the tool.
- Click the icon. Step-by-step instructions will appear in the
Information Bar.
- The default display units for all IDNR interactive mapping applications is miles. To change this, click on the drop-down list and select new units to display.
- After you have selected new units, click the Set Units button. Or click the Cancel button to not display new units.
- Notice the new units on the
Scale Bar at the bottom right of the site. Look at the picture below to see what happens when you change your display units.
Example: Changing units from MILES to KILOMETERS.
