Iowa DNR Interactive Mapping, Help Files

Go To Street Address on Map:

1. In the Toolbar place your mouse over the go to address icon and a small pop-up message will tell you the function of the tool.
   
   
2. Click the icon. Step-by-step instructions will appear in the Information Bar.
   
   
3. In the instructions, you will enter a street address: Example: 609 N. 2nd Ave.. Then you will enter a zip code. Example: 52353. When you are finished with that, click the Locate button. A table will appear in the Information Bar with possible address matches. Each address is scored from 0 - 100, with 100 being the best possible match. The "Zoom To" field is hyperlinked.
   
   
4. Click the number in the "Zoom To" field with the highest score to zoom to the address on the Interactive Map. See picture below:
   
   
   
   
5. Use the Zoom In tool to get a closer view of the red dot on the Interactive Map.

Note: If you want to enter a different address, then click the Locate Another Address button to return to the original window and enter a new street address and zip code.
