Air Quality Bureau Title V Workshop Sessions Set for April 22 and 23
The Air Quality Bureau's Title V section will hold two sessions of a training workshop on the Title V permitting process. There will be one afternoon Title V workshop and one in the morning. Topics of discussion will cover changes to the application forms, emissions calculations, periodic monitoring, CAM plans and a summary of common application deficiencies. Question and answer sessions will be held during the presentations.
We will spend a considerable portion of the training on the new Part 2 forms, which identify all applicable requirements and plans for demonstrating ongoing compliance. The new Part 2 forms allow for flexible submittal of information, are easier for applicants to use and result in a faster, more seamless permit review process. Both the new and the previous versions of the Part 2 forms and other updated forms are available at http://www.iowadnr.gov/InsideDNR/RegulatoryAir/OperatingPermits.aspx.
The DNR will accept both versions of the Part 2 forms through August 15, 2014. After August 15, 2014 only the new Part 2 application forms will be accepted.
The training will bee held at the Air Quality Bureau's office at 7900 Hickman Rd., Suite 1, Windsor Heights, IA. Please contact Norma Gentry at 515-725-9500 or Norma.Gentry@dnr.iowa.gov to make your reservations.
