Bottled Water Advisory Lifted in City of Elliott
Posted: 11/14/2013
ELLIOTT – The city of Elliott in Montgomery County has lifted a bottled water advisory after the second of two sets of water samples came back clean Thursday afternoon.

Results of the water samples show the water is safe to drink.

The city and the DNR issued the advisory to drink bottled water following an accident Tuesday when contractors hit a water main. When water pressure drops, the drinking water supply is more vulnerable to bacterial contamination.

The city has repaired the water line and flushed it. City staff purchased bottled water for residents to drink.
