Take Dad Fishing
Posted: 06/12/2012
Give dad a day on the water and take him fishing this father’s day.

Fishing is a great way for families to reconnect and mid June often has excellent fishing opportunities from boat or shore.

“An easy way we parents can connect with our kids is going fishing together without the interruptions from all our mobile technology. As a parent, we see just how quickly time passes. Spending the day with our kids fishing and playing by the water, we can slow time down, if only for that moment, and create a memory that will last forever,” said Joe Larscheid, chief of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Bureau.

Pick up some bait and snacks and plan to spend Sunday together waiting for the one that got away.
