Enter Fish Bowl for Chance to Win Fishing Lure Package
Posted: 06/11/2013
DES MOINES — After weeks of voting, the walleye has been named Iowa’s favorite fish by the DNR’s followers on Facebook in the 2013 Fish Bowl – and to celebrate, Iowans can enter a drawing for a chance to win a package of fishing lures valued at $100.

To enter the drawing and view contest rules, visit www.iowadnr.gov/fishbowl. All entries must be submitted by 8 a.m. central time on June 17. The winner will be notified June 18 by email or phone.
To follow the DNR on Facebook, go to www.facebook.com/iowadnr.

The Fish Bowl kicked off May 21, with two fish from each region of the state facing off. The flathead catfish defeated the largemouth bass in the southeast regional and then trout to represent eastern Iowa. The walleye won over smallmouth bass in the northwest regional and then crappie in the western semifinal.
