State Preserves Advisory Board Meets October 18

The State Preserves Advisory Board of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will meet at 9 a.m., Oct. 18, at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, 4500 Sioux River Road, in Sioux City.
Board members will tour Gitchie Manitou State Preserve, in Lyon County, on Oct. 17, meeting at 12 p.m., at the southeast entrance to the preserve on Adams Avenue, followed by a trip to Spirit Knoll, in Plymouth County, at 3:30 p.m.
The meeting and field trip are open to the public.
Members of the State Preserves Advisory Board are Lynn Alex, Inger Lamb, Wayne Phipps, Thomas Putnam, Kirk Larsen and Leesa McNeil. The Deputy Director of the DNR is Bruce Trautman.
