City of Meservey lifts boil advisory
Wednesday, February 06, 2013 by Iowa DNR

The city of Meservey in Cerro Gordo County lifted a boil advisory this morning after test results showed the water was safe to drink.

The city issued the advisory Sunday after losing water pressure following a fire and  power loss. When water pressure drops, it creates the potential for bacteria or other contaminants to enter the water distribution system.

The city has restored pressure, tested water in several locations and refilled the water tower.
