Hikers will enjoy scenic view of the Raccoon River valley and majestic walnut trees and other trees of the bottomland forest. Hikers may also catch views of wintering bald eagles and other birds and wildlife.  Hikers should bring a water bottle, identification or any other important gear/information in case of emergency.  Dress for the weather and possible snow ground cover.  Pets are welcome but must be on a leash.  Skiers can bring cross country skis for a first day ski.  For more information call the park at 515/285-4502.
