Outdoor Gear and Campfire Program

This will be an informal discussion, and those interested are encouraged to bring questions, concerns, and advice about your outdoor experiences to share with others. There will be a presentation about effective backcountry gear, a lesson on handheld GPS for beginners, (a limited number of GPS units will be provided,) practice with lighting campfires using primitive fire-starting methods, and practice. This event is free and open to the public. And all ages and experience levels are welcome. The program be at the Dorothy Pecaut Amphitheater and will begin begin at 7 p.m. with a campfire at 8:30 p.m.

Dorothy Pecaut is located at 4500 Sioux River Road in Sioux City.
