Family Trout Fishing Event April 6 at Banner Lake
Posted: 04/02/2013
A family trout fishing event will be held at Banner Lake South, near Des Moines, on April 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will release 1,400 trout around noon.

Anglers should have a valid Iowa fishing license and pay the trout fee to fish for or possess trout. Trout have a daily limit of five and a possession limit of 10.

A free lunch will be provided by the Warren County Izaak Walton League for those who bring children to fish. The DNR will have a limited amount of fishing equipment on hand to borrow, if necessary.

The event is being hosted by the Iowa DNR, Warren County Izaak Walton League and the Warren County Conservation Board.
